Italy and France has changed VAT regulations!

France and Italy introduces new VAT Rules and there will be no reduced VAT.

FRANCE:

There will be two major changes to current French VAT laws which will take effect from 31st of March 2020.

First change is Lump sum reduction has been cancelled. Second, all yachts will be liable for the full rate of 20% from March 31 2020.

What is in it for you:

Any charters booked before 31st March 2020 will not be effected from these changes. You may still claim for reduced VAT and have all the benefits. If you are planning to charter a yacht around the French riviera and Cosrica island there is never been a better time to book.


ITALY:

Italian VAT laws were changed in december 2019 and will tahe effect on 1st April 2020. Previously, yachts larger than 24m were eligible for a reduction to their VAT from 22% to 6.6%. This reduced VAT will no longer be in effect with all Italian charters.

Whether you begin your charter in Italy or begin in another EU territory and enter the region later.
